La Pêche Media

La Pêche Media is  a newly formed  community-based civic journalism initiative at Centre Wakefield La Pêche.  It is in partnership with the Canadian Association of Community Television Users and Stations (CATCUS) and Canadian Heritage.  Our aim is to be a voice in the community.   We are currently creating a multi-media platform with the mission to provide community media to engage and educate the citizens of La Pêche.

We aim to encourage residents to join us in future workshops in journalism with a mission of an inclusive studio for those with interest to get involved. The Centre will have tools for recording, live streaming and post production of audio and video.

Lisa Utronki and Gillian Kirkland  welcome input and story ideas on issues of concern to residents of the area.  New material and updates will be posted weekly starting in January 2021. Stay tuned!

Volunteers welcome!
